The Valleys ECC is gearing up for the Halifax Community “Free” Back-to-school Yard Sale for the Halifax area school students and their families which will be held on Friday, August 4th 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and Saturday, August 5th 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The Free Back-to-school Yard Sale will be held at The Valleys Evangelical Covenant Church 3682 Peters Mountain Rd. Halifax, PA 17032 As you end the school year, please be mindful that donations needed include CLEAN, GENTLY USED OR NEW CLOTHING for school students grades K-12 (baby, toddler & adult clothing -clean, gently used is also accepted). School supplies- back packs, spiral notebooks, composition books, 3 ring binders, portfolios (3 prong), pens, mechanical pencils, colored pencils, colored markers, crayon packs, highlighters, rulers, glue sticks, erasers (to fit pencils), pencil boxes or bags. We do not need regular pencils! Wal-Mart gift cards, Monetary donations (checks payable to The Valleys ECC earmarked “Back to School Program”) or to sponsor a child ($50) for “First Day Fresh Impressions”. Help is needed to sort clothing (in July and first week of August) and helpers are needed during the yard sale. If you are interested in helping, please call The Valleys church office (717-896-3118).
