The special education department utilizes a variety of instructional materials when providing specially designed instruction. All materials must have a strong research base in order to be considered for use. Below is a list of instructional programs currently in use along with a brief description.

 iReady is utilized in grades K-12 as a differentiated reading and math instructional and progress monitoring tool. This program is utilized as a supplement to math and reading direction instruction .

Read to Achieve is currently implemented in the high school reading program to help students develop reading skills in narrative and expository text.

 Corrective Reading is a direct instruction program utilized to develop reading fluency and comprehension skills and is available for students in grades 2 through 12. 

Rewards Reading is a direction instruction program designed to improve reading fluency, comprehension, and written expression using social studies and science text and is utilized for students in grades 6 through 12.

Total Reader is an online progress monitoring system that measures lexile growth and practice passages at a student's lexile level. This program is utilized as a supplement to the high school reading program.

IXL is an online program that provides skills practice in math and language arts at all grade levels and is being utilized increasingly more in both the regular education an special education classrooms.
