Halifax Area School District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of High School Game Manager. This person will work directly with the Athletic Director to supervise interscholastic athletic events hosted by Halifax Area School District. Reminder that tonight (Weds. 7/23/25) Halifax HS/MS Sports will be holding our Fall sports meetings. Parents are expected to attend at 7pm in the Auditorium followed by coaches’ meetings for each Fall Sport; Football, Cheerleading, Girls Volleyball, Girls Soccer, Boys Soccer, Cross Country.
First day of school is August 19!
Our annual mandatory Parent/Coach meetings will take place Wednesday July 23rd. All parents will meet in the Auditorium at 7:00pm for an athletic policy and procedural overview. This will be followed by individual team meetings at 8:00pm between parents and coaches for Fall sports.
Note: HS Volleyball parents will report to the 7pm meeting, but the coaches meeting will take place on 8/5 at 5:00pm during open gym.
DATE CHANGE: Sports Physicals at HASD will now be on THURSDAY JULY 24th at 9am. This is for any (Fall, Winter, or Spring) athlete in grades 6-12 who need a PIAA Physical for sports at HASD. The cost is $10, and Sections 1-5 of the Physical form must be filled out by a parent/guardian.

Halifax will be offering sports physical for athletes in grades 6-12 who will be participating in a HASD sport this coming school year. Physicals will be $10 per athlete and pages 1-5 of the PIAA CIPPE Physical packet must be complete prior to arriving. Physicals are scheduled for 9:00am on Tuesday July 22nd. in the High School Gym lobby.

Softball will host the first round of the PIAA State Playoffs and face off against Williams Valley on Monday June 2nd @ 4:00pm. All tickets are online at piaa.org/tickets. GO WILDCATS!
Waid Gainer competes his high school sports career with two State Track & Field medals. He placed 5th in High Jump and 7th in 110m Hurdles. GO WILDCATS!
The streak continues as Softball wins their 5th District III title in a row, but this time as the 2A Champions (previous 4 were 1A titles)! They defeated Brandywine Heights by a score of 8-4. Congrats WILDCATS!!
Waid Gainer places 5th in High Jump at the PIAA State Championships! He also advanced to the finals (8 runners) for the 110m Hurdles on Saturday where he is guaranteed his second State medal.
Students and staff made the best of the rainy weather for our Environmental Field Day. Thank you to all of our volunteers for a great day!
