Notice of School Board Director Vacancy

The Halifax Area School Board is accepting applications from citizens of the Halifax Area School District who are interested and qualified to serve as a voting member of the School Board for a remaining term expiring December 2027. Board meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday evenings of each month.

To apply, complete a Board of School Directors Application Form available from the District Office or on the District website and submit to Ms. Kendra Whitteker, Board Secretary, 3940 Peters Mountain Road, Halifax, PA 17032 by 10:00 am on Monday, August 25, 2025. Applicants must be present for a public interview at the Tuesday, August 26, 2025, regularly scheduled Board meeting, at 7:30 p.m. The successful candidate will be approved at the August 26th meeting.
