3rd Annual Rehearse-A-Thon

What are we raising money for?

Music is a huge part of the Halifax community. In order to continue to provide access to musical opportunities for our students, we work hard to raise additional funding to do so. Some of the things that are made possible as a result of your generosity include: needed instrument repairs, music lessons for disadvantaged students, new performance opportunities, new instruments, and more.

We kindly ask for families, friends, teachers, and businesses to consider sponsoring a student's rehearsal during Rehearse-A-Thon. Instead of pledges per hour or minute, we simply ask for a flat donation in whatever amount you are able to give.

Donating Doesn't Get Any Easier!

Just click the button below to donate online, directly to your student of choice. Simply search their name, fill out your information, and that's it!

If you'd like to donate via check, please make checks payable to Halifax Area School District and include the name of the student you are donating to in the memo line.

We are excited to announce the 3rd Annual Halifax Rehearse-A-Thon! This page will contain all of the forms and information that parents and students need in order to participate in this fundraiser and event.

What is Rehearse-A-Thon?: Rehearse-A-Thon is similar to Mini-THON. Students who participate will be “locked in” at the school overnight. During that time, students will participate in fun games, activities, and events. In addition, and this is where the “Rehearse” comes in, students will periodically rotate through rehearsals throughout the night where they will work on their instrument and band music!

Last year...

The 2nd ever Halifax Rehearse-A-Thon took place this past November, and was a HUGE success! The money that was raised went towards beginner band instruments, supporting our Middle/High School Jazz Band, Marching Band, and Indoor Drumline programs, and more. The kids had a great time during the night that we were locked in together, and you can see that below!

How can I help?

There are three ways to get involved and volunteer!

DONATE: gift cards for small prizes (must be teen friendly)

DONATE: food items for the students to have throughout the night OR games/activities for students to play when not rehearsing. These could include board games, video games, cornhole, etc.

DONATE: time! We will need parent volunteers for two-hour shifts throughout the night. Please consider donating your time to help with this event. It will be a long night, but a lot of fun!

Individual Student Goal:

$50

Don't let that stop them from raising more! After hitting their initial goal, students will be able to participate in Rehearse-A-Thon AND be given a raffle ticket for our prize giveaways including: a new Xbox Series S, two gaming monitors, a cash prize, and more! For every $20 they raise after that initial, they will receive another ticket.
