Attention Parents of children in grades 3-12
I will again run my FREE Percy Jackson summer reading club (15th year). The club meets in my classroom mostly on Tuesdays from 9:30am-12pm . This club is for ANY readers from grades 3-12. This is a good way for your kids to keep their brains reading all summer long. This year we will be reading book of the Trials of Apollo book 5 (books are provided by the Wildcat Foundation). If the kids have not attended before I do a recap to get them ready for the book. If you have any questions please send me a message. I currently have 60 spots available, but they do go fast. If your child is interested send me an email, rooms message, or have your child see me at school to get a permission slip. I will also send some to Mrs. Dobbin in the middle school office.

Halifax Wildcat Academy uses curriculum through the CAOLA program. CAOLA is proud to announce the successful completion of the 2025–2026 Curriculum Review process!

This annual collaborative initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality curriculum, instructional resources, and meaningful learning experiences for the districts, educators, students, and families we serve.

Throughout the review cycle, committee members from across the consortium worked together to evaluate courses, instructional materials, accessibility, usability, alignment, and overall program effectiveness. Their expertise, thoughtful feedback, and dedication to continuous improvement help ensure CAOLA’s programs remain rigorous, relevant, and responsive to the evolving needs of our learning communities.
