The Halifax Area School Board is accepting applications from citizens of the Halifax Area School District who are interested and qualified to serve as a voting member of the School Board for a remaining term expiring December 2027. Board meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday evenings of each month.
To apply, complete a Board of School Directors Application Form available below or on the District website and submit to Ms. Kendra Whitteker, Board Secretary, 3940 Peters Mountain Road, Halifax, PA 17032 by 10:00 am on Monday, August 25, 2025. Applicants must be present for a public interview at the Tuesday, August 26, 2025, regularly scheduled Board meeting, at 7:30 p.m. The successful candidate will be approved at the August 26th meeting.
