HASD will use four strategies when dealing with weather: early dismissal, delayed start, school closed-FID, and school cancelled. Every storm brings with it a unique set of challenges; however, student and staff safety are the primary guide when determining which strategies to implement. Factors to consider are always the road conditions in the school district’s 88 square mile transportation zone and our maintenance team’s ability to clear sidewalks and parking lots of our buildings. In the event of a change in schedule due to weather, information will be delivered to you via text message, email, and phone.
