Subject Credits English 4.00 Social Studies 4.00 Mathematics 4.00 Science 3.00 Physical Education 2.00 Health 1.00 Family & Consumer Science 1.00 Introductory Technology .50 Career Development .50 9th Grade Academy .50 Electives 5.50 Total 26.00 All students who are to graduate in any given year must pass 6 credits their senior year even if they have accumulated the minimum number of credits and have the appropriate combination of earned credits. This requirement is to assure that students who have accumulated nearly enough credits their first three years do not take a less vigorous approach to their senior year. (Unless seniors have multiple Honors or Advanced Placement courses, they must schedule 7.50 credits. Those who do have such a class load may also be exempted from the 6.0 credits for graduation policy – on a case by case basis at the administration’s discretion.)
Grading ScaleAdvanced 93-100Proficient 80-92Basic 70-79Below Basic 69 & lowerHonors: In order for a student to earn the Honor Roll, the student must have an average of 86% - 94% in all subjects with no grade lower than an 86%.Distinguished Honors: In order for a student to earn the Distinguished Honor Roll, the student must have an average of 95% - 100% in all subjects with no grade lower than an 86%.Academic Awards
Students will be recognized at the end of 8th and 12th grades.
Middle School qualifiers will receive SILVER medals. High School qualifiers will receive GOLD medals.
Middle School Level - Students who have achieved a 93% average for each of the three grade levels.
High School Level - Students who have achieved a 93% average for each of the four grade levels.
Note: the eighth and twelfth grade averages will be determined by the student's grades at the end of the second marking period.
