Rick Ansel

It is absolutely my pleasure to serve the Halifax school community in the role of secondary assistant principal. I taught for 15 years in the elementary schools here, and another 6 in the high school as health and physical education instructor. Prior to arriving at Halifax, I taught for 1 year in the West Shore School District. While at Halifax, I’ve coached football and baseball and also served several years in the capacity of head athletic trainer. In my spare time, I have refereed high school and college basketball since 1987 and enjoy watching all sorts of sports. I also cherish spending time with my wife Carrie (Halifax class of ’81) and my daughters Lorah and Laine, granddaughter Hailey and 2 stepsons, Ryan and Eric.
