Welcome to the resource page for the January 21st In-Service.
This page is intended to house all of the resources you may need in helping move Halifax Area School District forward towards achieving the Pennsylvania Common Core.
There are several documents that may be useful. Initially, you will want to have a copy of "ROADMAP.pdf" saved to your computer (which should be on our network). There is a copy below in the "File Resources" and you will have received a copy as well.
Additionally, the Powerpoint and "Frank's Story" which were referenced at faculty meetings can also be found in the "File Resources".

These documents highlight the differences in Math and English Language Arts between the Pennsylvania Common Core Standards (PA CC), National Common Core State Standards (CCSS), and the older Pennsylvania Academic Standards. For the purposes of curriculum writing and/or revisions, we should be sure to align to the PA CC and its eligible content, before delving into the CCSS.
