Halifax Food Services

The Halifax Area School District operates a lunch program in each building under the supervision of Mrs. Cathy Hoover.

The goal of the food service program at the Halifax Area School District is to encourage students to eat a wide variety of nutritious food in a well-balanced, healthful meal. Meals are served in the High School and Middle Schools at $2.25 per meal and the Elementary Schools for $2.00 per meal, milk prices is $.40. We also serve breakfast for $1.25 per meal. The school lunches provide approximately one third of the Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDA).

cafeA Point-of-Sale System allows parents to pre-pay on-account for student lunches/meals. "Café Prepay" account deposits can be made any day of the week by putting the child's name and student ID number on an envelope with the payment/deposit enclosed. Primary and Elementary Schools account deposits are collected in the classrooms. Middle and High Schools have an account deposit collection box in the cafeteria.
